What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are a cosmetic treatment that aims to add volume and fullness to the face whilst also softening lines, creases, and hollows to a more youthful appearance. The treatment involves injecting a natural substance called hyaluronic acid under the skin with a very fine needle or cannula. The treatment is lasting between 6 to 18 months before it is naturally absorbed by the body.

Types of Dermal Filler Treatment that we offer
Immediately your dermal filler treatment you may experience some redness, bruising, swelling, or tenderness. This is a normal reaction and is a result of the injections, it will disappear within a few days. Swelling after dermal filler treatment can last for up to 7 days.
Bruising after dermal filler is often associated with poor technique but this is not always the case. Bruising is very common after the use of a needle or cannula. Your own predisposition to bleeding will determine how much bruising you should expect to see following .
To help patients avoid bruising we advise that any medications containing NSAIDs, aspirin, vitamin E, and ginseng are avoided in the week before dermal filler treatment. We also advise that these medications are also not used in the week following treatment.
